Hidden Valley Hideaway
For many years Stacy and Bob longed to 'run to the hills' and live in a secluded Welsh cottage surrounded by natural beauty in peace and tranquillity. In 2009 they bought a very run down 7 and a half acre smallholding and have been renovating ever since.
After moving to their little hidden valley hideaway they have forever dreamt of sharing this space with others to come and relax, unwind and unplug themselves from the hectic rat race of life. They want to share the beauty of the rolling hills, the admiration of the local farming community and the wonders of the wildlife so that you too can hear the birds singing and the owls chatting to each other at night under the clear starry sky.
The 7 1/2 acre smallholding is also home to their neighbouring farmer's sheep and lambs. The land is very steep and their cottage is tucked in a valley. They chose the location for the cabin after having picnics with their small children on a big tree stump near the location that they used to call 'the zebra' as from far away their small children thought that is what it looked like.
Coming off the A470 onto a small country road, you will see the sign about half a mile in.
As soon as you arrive at the parking area, your phone signal drops, and with it, the pace of everyday life. The countryside reset begins right there. From the parking, it’s a 150-meter walk to The Perch along a steep, uneven path, so be sure to pack light.
The parking is on the bottom left.
Walking up the path, you catch your first glimpse of the cabin. A marvel tucked into the landscape.
The walk and views set the stage beautifully, but inside is where The Perch truly shines. Warm, inviting, and carefully designed, the cabin feels like every detail has been chosen to make you slow down and feel at home.
One of the most special things about The Perch is how seamlessly it connects you to the outdoors. Through every window, the landscape feels like a living painting. Rolling fields, quiet hills, and the slow rhythm of countryside life unfolding right outside.
Of course, no stay at The Perch would be complete without time spent outdoors. Whether it’s gathering around the BBQ pit, having breakfast on the deck or sinking into the hot tub as the countryside stretches out before you.
Time at The Perch is the reset you didn’t know you needed: simple, quiet, and deeply refreshing. It’s more than a cabin, it’s a chance to slow down and reconnect with what truly matters.
